Local Philanthropy & Service

In addition to raising money and awareness for arthritis and related diseases, our sisters recognize the importance of giving back in many other ways.

Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity partnered with Soldiers’ Angels in 2011 to create an international “Sisters for Soldiers” campaign. Soldiers’ Angels is a volunteer led nonprofit organization, which provides comfort to service members by sending them various products to make their deployment more bearable.

The Kappa Delta Chapter at Wright State University chose Sisters for Soldiers as the local philanthropy for several reasons: WSU is right next to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (the largest Air Force base in the country), the University has a strong Veterans Military Center and because a lot of the ladies within the chapter has family ties to the military.

Our mission is to raise money for this organization and to impact the families within our community.

Very Respectfully,

Makayla Rose --- Former Philanthropy Chair
